August 25, 2011 - Dutchman is recalling certain Rubicon travel trailers that have been manufactured without an exterior furnace vent.  If you or your family has been injured because of a faulty product, speak with a Kirkwood personal injury lawyer to discuss the specifics of your Missouri defective product case.

The Dutchmen 2011 and 2012 Rubicon travel trailers recalled were manufactured from December 8, 2010 through July 15, 2011.

These models may have been produced without an exterior furnace installed in the trailer's sidewall. When the furnace runs without proper exhaust ventilation, it releases carbon monoxide into the trailer's interior.

This could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. There is also an increased risk of fire when the heat builds up from the exhaust.

Asphyxiation is the medical terminology for death caused by lack of oxygen. Likewise, carbon monoxide poisoning can result in brain damage and death.

Dutchman will first inspect the trailers for the presence of an exhaust, and install a furnace vent free of charge. Owners can contact Dutchman for more information at 1-574-537-0700.

If you or your loved ones have experienced injuries due to a faulty vent or other product, speak with a Kirkwood personal injury lawyer about your Missouri defective product case.
