This week, the Missouri House of Representatives passed a bill that would place occupational disease claims back under the Workers' Compensation law, after several court cases held that occupational diseases were excluded by the 2005 changes in the law and employers could be sued in court for such claims.  The business community did not intend this when they supported the sweeping 2005 changes in the workers' compensation law and have scrambled to get the law clarified.  The House passed a bill that would do just that and it goes on to the Senate for approval.  Click here for more information.
