Tort Reform Myths Can Affect Your Case

Stella Liebeck was burned by some scalding hot coffee and sued McDonald's. Her lawsuit became a joke on late night television and fuel for those who wanted to destroy the civil justice system.  A new movie, "Hot Coffee:  The Movie," premieres at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2011.  Stella was 79 years old when she was burned and passed away in 2004 in her 90s.  Hear the true story of Stella's ordeal in a video interview with her family members.  A link to the video is in our article library.  Click here to see the story and the video.
