Dream on Me Company has recalled certain models of its full-size cribs and portable cribs in the wake of 69 reported complaints of injuries, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The defective products are reported to have a misassembled drop-side rail. Many of the drop-side rails on the recalled cribs have failed to stay in place. When the drop-side rail detaches from the crib, it creates a gap between the side of the crib and the mattress. This leaves an opening for a child injury in which the child could fall, suffocate, or get trapped or cut.

Dream on Me will give customers who own the defective cribs free kits to fix the defect in full-sized cribs and free replacements of portable cribs. Replacements will begin in July 2011. For more information, contact Dream on Me at 1-877-201-4317.
