Phil Tatlow represented G. V. in a case against Anheuser Busch and Prudential Insurance Company due to his client becoming permanently and totally disabled while employed as a production worker at Anheuser Busch in St. Louis, Mo. G.V. was a long-term beer bottler that drove a fork-truck and loaded and unloaded pallets of beer. He drove backwards pursuant to company policy, resulting in injuries over time to his neck. When the beer had to be restacked, he had to repetitively lift it over and over to stack it. He worked around loud bottle and can lines resulting in hearing loss and ringing of the ears. He had neck and back surgeries and when the neck fusion did not go as planned, he took an early retirement. He applied for a buy-out of his ERISA life insurance policy with Anheuser Busch and Prudential Insurance Company and they denied his claim. After Mr. Tatlow got involved and handled the ERISA claim's procedure and administrative appeals process, Prudential Insurance Company paid his client the entire policy limits of $100,000. He still has pending cases against the employer for his hearing loss and repetiitive trauma injuries.
