The Missouri Supreme Court has denied a stay of execution of Missouri White Supremacist Serial Killer, Joseph Paul Franklin earlier today. Joseph Paul Franklin,  a killer who also shot Larry Flynt, is to be executed on Wednesday. He was convicted of killing 42 year old Gerald Gordon in a sniper attack outside of a St. Louis synagogue in 1977. He allegedly committed up to 20 killings across the country of blacks and Jews from 1977 to 1980. He was convicted of seven other killings, but the St. Louis case was the only one resulting in the death sentence. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon called Mr. Franklin's killing in Missouri "a cowardly and calculated shooting," and refused to grant Franklin clemency.

Franklin's attorney, Jennifer Herndon said that Franklin "is a paranoid schizophrenic who now regrets his crimes, having had a change of heart after serving time along black inmates."She commented in an interview in the St. Louis Post Dispatch that he no longer hates blacks or Jews.

Franklin is scheduled to die by lethal injection at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Bonne Terre, Missouri on Wednesday.
