September 5, 2011 - The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that Webasto is recalling certain Hollandia TVS 900 Series and Hollandia 600 and 700 series sunroofs due to the risk of the adhesive debonding. If you have been in an accident, due to a defective product, you may be able to file a Missouri defective product claim.

The debonding of the adhesive, which is between the glass and the metal frame, could result in the sunroof coming apart from the vehicle.
While it does not happen suddenly, over a period of time corrosion around the frame of the sunroof may be evident.

Additionally, a consumer may notice that water leaks through, there is a vibration when moving, or an unusual noise when it hits the wind. These are signs of the adhesive debonding.

The hazard is that the separation of the sunroof could lead to it striking another vehicle or pedestrian, creating a road hazard or otherwise causing a major crash.

Owners will be notified by Webasto or they can contact the manufacturer directly.

If a defective part in your vehicle has led to injuries and damages, you should speak with a Missouri defective product attorney immediately to discuss your legal options.
