August 25, 2011 - Isuzu is recalling their 2012 N-Series trucks due to a calibration problem with the brake pedal switch. This could lead to a serious crash, in which case you will want to speak to a Kirkwood personal injury lawyer to discuss your Missouri defective product case.

The trucks Isuzu is recalling include all the 2012 N-Series trucks equipped with gas engines that were manufactured between April 27 and July 26, 2011.

There is a calibration error in the ECM software. The brake pedal switch fails to shut off cruise control when it is applied. This could result in a serious truck crash.

There are an estimated 614 vehicles that must be recalled due to this defect in the trucks. Isuzu dealers will reprogram the ECM software at no charge to customers who own a defective truck, beginning in late August 2011.

Isuzu will try to notify owners of the recall, or owners can contact Isuzu at 1-866-455-7595.
