Phil will give a presentation on what a paralegal needs to know in order to provide a valuable role in litigation of worker's compensation claims. He will give an overview of the statutes on Permanent Partial and Permenent Total Disability, the weekly rate, accident and occupational disease, how to calculate benefits and the way to prove an occupational disease and accident claim. He will also discuss issues with liens to watch out for. Phil has over has over 25 years experience in both Personal Injury, Worker's Compensation and ERISA law. He has handled over 150 bench and jury trials on such topics.  Phil will also discuss the interaction of Social Security, Worker's Compensation and ERISA law including Subrogation and Reimbursement Issues.
